In the decade since 9/11, the "war on terror" has not only shaped the current legal landscape and regulatory environment, but has also presented novel ethical quandaries for attorneys representing clients in a variety of contexts. In this program, practitioners, scholars and other legal experts will discuss emerging ethical issues which arise in representing clients in criminal and civil matters after 9/11.

Pre-register by 2:00 PM on Monday, June 27 to avoid walk-in fee Pre-registration - $250 (Walk-in price - $295) (Individuals who have not-pre-registered should arrive 15 minutes early). Attorneys working for non-profit organizations will receive a 50% discount.
MCLE INFORMATION: California: This activity has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 3 hours in the Ethics category. DLA Piper certifies that this activity conforms to the standards for approved education activities prescribed in the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education. New York: This transitional and nontransitional continuing legal education program has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of 3.5 credit hours, of which 3.5 credit hours can be applied toward the Ethics requirement. Please note that CLE credit is available for newly admitted attorneys. New Jersey: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 3.6 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 3.6 qualify as hours of credit toward the Ethics category. The International Justice Network is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides legal assistance to survivors of human rights abuses and their families, advocates for universal human rights, and promotes the rule of law through a network of legal experts, non-governmental organizations, and local activists across the globe.
