IJN Human Rights Projects
IJN provides direct legal assistance and expertise to victims of human rights abuses and is building global networks of legal professionals, non-governmental organizations and community-based human rights advocates.
  • Namibia
The Namibia Judicial Capacity Building Project is a partnership between the Namibian Ministry of Justice, the University of Namibia's Law Faculty, and the Stanford Law School International Human Rights Clinic.
  • Detainees and Torture Victims

IJN filed the first cases on behalf of people hopelessly imprisoned in Bagram. IJN is working to bring just treatment to people who, like all people, deserve a chance to be tried or freed.

  • Philippines
IJN is monitoring human rights abuses in the Philippines, where hundreds of activists and members of the media who criticized the regime have been murdered. IJN asks: Is the "global war on terror" being used as a cover for politically motivated murder and oppression in the Philippines?
